A light and refreshing salad where the tuna blends with the crispness of green apple and the sweet-tart flavor of cherry tomatoes. The spring onion adds a crunchy touch, and the lemon enhances the dish’s freshness. Perfect as a summer main course or as an appetizer.


Recipe for Solky Bluefin Tuna Fillet Salad with Cherry Tomatoes and Green Apple


Ingredients for two people:

  • 1 can of Solky bluefin tuna fillets in olive oil (350 g)

  • 10-12 cherry tomatoes

  • 1 green apple (Granny Smith type)

  • 1 fresh spring onion

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley (optional)


Preparation:

  1. Prepare the ingredients: drain the tuna fillets well and gently flake them with a fork. Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half. Wash the green apple, remove the core, and slice it thinly. Immediately sprinkle with some lemon juice to prevent browning. Thinly slice the fresh spring onion.

  2. Assemble the salad: in a large bowl, combine the flaked tuna, cherry tomatoes, apple slices, and spring onion.Add the extra virgin olive oil, the remaining lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.

  3. Serve: gently mix to combine the flavors. If desired, add chopped fresh parsley for an aromatic touch.
