An original and refined recipe that combines the richness of Solky bluefin tuna belly with the sweetness of kiwi. A fresh and light appetizer, perfect to be served cold.
Recipe of Solky Bluefin Tuna Belly with Kiwi
Ingredients for two people:
350 g of Solky canned bluefin tuna belly (high quality, in oil or natural)
1 ripe but firm kiwi
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 teaspoon of honey (optional)
Extra virgin olive oil, to taste
Salt and pepper, to taste
A few fresh mint or basil leaves (for garnish)
Preparation:
Prepare the ingredients: gently drain the tuna belly and place it on a plate, keeping it intact. Peel the kiwi and slice it thinly or cut it into small cubes.
Prepare the dressing: in a small bowl, whisk the lemon juice with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of salt and pepper, and — if desired — a teaspoon of honey to balance the acidity.
Assemble the dish: arrange the kiwi slices on the bottom of the plate, then lay the tuna belly pieces on top. Drizzle with the prepared dressing and garnish with a few fresh mint or basil leaves.
