A simple yet tasty dish that highlights the soft texture and rich flavor of Solky bluefin tuna tarantello, paired with the sweetness of red onion and the bold taste of olives and capers.
Recipe of Solky Bluefin Tuna Tarantello with Red Onion, Olives, and Capers
Ingredients for two people:
300 g of Solky bluefin tuna tarantello in oil
1 small red onion 1 handful of pitted black olives (e.g., Taggiasca or Gaeta)
1 tablespoon of salted or pickled capers, rinsed Extra virgin olive oil, to taste Fresh parsley or oregano (optional, for garnish)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Preparation:
Thinly slice the red onion and let it soak in cold water for 10–15 minutes to soften its flavor. Then drain and pat dry.
Gently drain the tarantello, keeping the pieces whole as much as possible.
Arrange the tuna on a serving plate. Distribute the onion slices, olives, and capers over the top.
Drizzle with a little extra virgin olive oil and season with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Garnish with chopped parsley or a few oregano leaves, if desired. Serve at room temperature.
